Policy Area Studies The Nonprofit Advocacy Initiative will undertake a series of studies on issues in various policy arenas—for example, child advocacy, welfare reform, the environment, arts and culture, tax reform, and civil and human rights. Studies may address specific questions across policy arenas or assess the relative importance and interaction of factors that affect the outcomes of advocacy efforts within a policy arena. A model for undertaking nonprofit advocacy research in child advocacy efforts is under way at the Center on Nonprofits and Philanthropy (CNP) through two projects funded by the Foundation for Child Development.
