The Child and Family Policy Center (CFPC) was established in 1989 "to better link research and policy on issues vital to children and families, and to advocate for outcome-based policies to improve child well-being." Covering Des Moines and Polk County, CFPC staff have published reports (available online) examining neighborhood trends on race, family structure and homeownership.
