NETWORKING

Partnership is an important element of NNIP. NNIP's partners and affiliates constitute a unique and dynamic collection of organizations and individuals who are committed to using neighborhood-based indicators to strengthen and build vibrant and sustainable communities. One of NNIP's key goals is to provide opportunities for our partners and affiliates to network with each other—to share ideas and success stories, to learn from each other, and to support the development and use of neighborhood indicators.

NNIP has three mechanisms for encouraging networking among the neighborhood indicator community:

  • NNIP Affiliate Directory. These are community-building practitioners, foundations, national and community organizations, researchers, and others who have joined NNIP and support its commitment to developing and using neighborhood-based indicators and democratizing information.
  • NNIP News E-mail Discussion List. A forum where partners and affiliates can discuss the latest developments in using neighborhood indicators and exchange ideas on effective community building, data sources, and ways to help neighborhood organizations use and understand data.
