This statement explains the policies of the National Neighborhood Indicators Partnership (NNIP) regarding the information that it collects from affiliated individuals and organizations.
What information is being collected? Basic identifying and contact information on organizations and individuals that are interested in the work of NNIP. Descriptions of the work of these groups are doing and their interest in neighborhood indicators.
Why is this information being collected? We collect this information to allow us to keep in touch with organizations and individuals who are interested in our work and to notify them of special events (conferences, meetings) being planned by NNIP. We also want to know more about these groups so that we can serve their needs and interests better.
How will this information be used? The information will be used to generate email announcements or mailings on issues or events of interest to the NNIP community. We will also produce descriptive statistics on the numbers and types of groups in our database.
Will any identifying information be shared with others? Identifying information may be used in a directory of NNIP affiliates that will be posted on our web site. Individuals can request that their information not be listed in the directory by contacting NNIP at nnip@ui.urban.org.
Can I remove my information completely from the NNIP database? Yes. Send an email to nnip@ui.urban.org requesting that your information be deleted from our database.
